In her spare moments you will find Nancy enjoying time at the piano, with her family, reading a good book, writing a new book, or enjoying a solitary walk. She is energized by laughter and thrives on deep spiritual discussions. She abhors injustice, hypocrisy, deception, betrayal, whiny people, and smug Pharisees. She is intrigued by the unique nature of all God’s people, and values the attributes of truth, justice, honor, and mutual respect in her relationships with others.
Nancy was raised in an Evangelical Christian Church and accepted the Lord as her Savior at the age of 12. She served in a variety of ministry leadership roles through her early 30’s. At the age of 35, during a time of deep spiritual cynicism, she had a radical encounter with the Lord which completely shattered everything she thought she knew about the Christian faith, about God, about His Word, and about her own identity. This transformational encounter led to an intense time of spiritual training which she now refers to as five years of "spiritual boot camp." This period set the stage for the plans and purposes of God to be fulfilled in her life. Nancy’s daughters lightheartedly refer to this transformational period as “mom before she got weird’ and “mom after she got weird”.
Today Nancy teaches and trains individuals from diverse spiritual backgrounds with the truths of God's Word. She has an natural ability to create emotionally safe settings in which people are free to ask questions regarding faith and spirituality. Through her combined use of humor, storytelling, interactive activities, clinical skills and Biblical knowledge, Nancy is able to bring clarity and understanding to a vast array of Biblical topics.
Nancy and her husband Kevin have been married for more than 40 years. She is the mother of two adult daughters and seven grandchildren. Nancy and her husband reside in Northern Maine.
